An attraction for bored tourists and lovers of tasty and cheap food in Phuket is the night markets. We tell you about the night markets in Patong, which we visited. Prices, opening hours, addresses, location on the map.
Night markets are worth visiting at least once as a sightseeing attraction. Well, then you will come here over and over again for a cheap variety of food and an indescribable atmosphere. They also have disadvantages: noisy, crowded, hot, not very clean. But you can close your eyes to all this.
On the map at the bottom of this overview, we have a shallow area where all the night markets are.
Night Market at Banzaan Fresh Market
When the heat subsides, life begins to boil in the square outside the Banzaan Fresh Market. Makashnitsy come, tents are set up, tables are laid out. This is the most popular night market in Patong, we had dinner there almost every evening.
The market can be conditionally divided into three parts. On the left - tents with food and seafood are more expensive, they are cleaner and tidier, there are tables. On the right - the food is cheaper and simpler, there is always a crush. The rows facing the road on the right (Soi Banzan) - sell clothes, cosmetics, souvenirs there.
What can you buy: seafood, meat, rice and noodles, soups, sweets, drinks, fruits, souvenirs, clothing, cosmetics.
There are day market in the Banzaan Fresh Market building - where you can buy fruits and vegetables (bargain), meat and fresh seafood. There is a food court on the second floor, where they will cook the seafood you bought on the 1st floor (about 100 ฿ per 1 kg). At the food court, there is a monopoly - all dishes from 150 ฿, although two years ago it was possible to dine for only 50 ฿.
Opening hours: nightly from 5-6 pm to 23:00, daytime - from 7:00 to 18:00.
Where is: Sai Kor Road behind the Jungceylon shopping center.

Day and Night Market at Patong Malin Plaza
Since 2013, the Malin Plaza market has been operating in Patong. The prices in the market do not differ much from those in the Banzaan market, but some dishes are cheaper. We went to this market only once, since it is located on the outskirts of Patong, and we lived in the center. Convenient for those who live in the area.
What to buy: the same as on Banzaan.
Opening hours: from 14:00 to 22:30.
Where is: at the intersection of Soi Luangwat and Prachanukhro, next to the Hard Rock Cafe.

JJ Plaza Night Market
New night market in the spacious JJ Plaza. A good alternative to the tourist Banzaan: it is more spacious, quieter, good assortment, food prices are the same or slightly cheaper. There is no such crowd.
What to buy: the same as on Banzaan.
Opening hours: from 17:00.
Where is: behind Jungceylon Shopping Center, one block from Banzaan Fresh Market and opposite the yellow B-Quik building.
Night market on the third line
Found this place by accident, but didn't go. On the left is a clothing market, on the right, in the vacant lot, there are stalls with food.
Where is: at Pangmuang Saikor next to Khon Kaen Buffet & BBQ.
