A luxurious park near Yalta is the most titled in Crimea. Nikitsky Botanical Garden is the oldest, most beautiful and largest park on the peninsula. It covers an area of almost 1000 hectares.
The green pearl of Crimea is divided into several thematic zones. Its main pride is the Arboretum, or arboretum, which includes the Upper and Lower parks. In addition, the territory of the botanical garden includes the parks of Montedor and Paradise, a rose garden, a greenhouse with cacti, a spectacular exhibition of dinosaurs and a picturesque landscape reserve "Cape Martyan".
The man-made garden on the southern coast of Crimea was founded in 1811 by Emperor Alexander I. For 200 years, rare plants from all over the world have appeared in the park, and it has turned into a large research and educational center.
Several colorful exhibitions are held here every year. Tourists come to the Nikitsky Botanical Garden to watch the April parade of tulips, the May carnival of irises, the autumn ball of chrysanthemums, delicate orchids and clematis. From mid-May until the beginning of winter, the park delights guests with flowering roses, and in summer with elegant lotuses. The territory is open daily: in the summer months from 8:00 to 20:00, and in the winter from 9:00 to 16:00. In September, the park closes at 19:00, in October and April at 18:00, and in November and March at 17:00.

How to get to Nikitsky Botanical Garden
The territory of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden in Crimea is located between the coast and the village of Nikita. From the public transport stops "Pionerskaya" and "Veshchevoy Rynok" in Yalta, trolleybus No. 2, buses No. 29 and 34 go to the park. It is very interesting to get to the park by boat from the Yalta sea pier. The sea trip will take 30-40 minutes.
